Overall Strategy
Developed in response to community demand, particularly in the ORTJET environment, in order to:
Assist individuals develop, evaluate and guide implementation of appropriate business plans in the start-up environment.
Encourage and stimulate Jewish small business activity.
Use the consultant network to implement the approved business plans.
Encourage and stimulate a culture of business start-ups within the appropriate frameworks.
Assist in red flagging business start-ups that have developed inappropriate business plans
Target Market
All Jewish individuals looking to start new businesses
Education:
a) BEST focused specifically on start up businesses.
b) Use current BEST formula
Consulting
a) Businesses to complete more in depth questionnaire (mini Business Plan)
b) Initial interview with 2 ORT JET Trustees
c) Series of interactions between business and Jet Trustees until a suitable business plan has been developed
d) Panel of Trustees and Consultants to then interview business with review of the business plan
e) If successful, then to link into consultant database to implement business plan
